Default Adjustments needed when replacing Mag shocks w/standard OEM shocks on C5 w/R C

My 04 C5 has 100000+ miles & many other problems but deemed worth keeping and maintaining as best as I can. Originally with Ride Control Mag shocks which went out and had to be replaced...couldn't justify the cost to replace mag shocks w/mag shocks so replaced w/standard OEM shocks. Computer system for Ride Control didn't like the change and let me know! Need to alter/correct the electronic messaging to acknowledge new shocks. Receiving messages for no shocks...80mph limiting and active handling service. Besides controlling messaging...need to override the 80mph limiter and turn-off active handling. The active handling switch doesn't function...will not turn off except when driving and computer determines not functioning correctly (it applies the breaks due to road conditions).
Can anything be deactivated, turned off or disconnected to solve these problems?

If you know someone or have access to a tech 2 you should be able to turn it off
1. Hook up Tech 2, turn car on, make sure module in the rear is plugged in. Do not unplug the rear module.
2. Use Tech 2 to delete the F45 option (F55 does not appear on the menu screen, use F45).
3. Save new configuration.
4. Do not turn car off, do not remove Tech 2. Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector (the widest one), leave any other plug(s) in. [leave the other 1 (F45) or 2 (F55) plugged in]
5. Turn off car, leave Tech 2 plugged in.
6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car. [never plug them back in again, if you do the F45/F55 turns on automatically]
7. Turn car on to verify the "max speed 80 mph" is gone.
8. Unplug Tech 2.

All-tho I have seen a post or two that says this does not work on 04 cars

Above process worked fine on my 2003 C5 with F55 option. OP, let us know your geographic location and maybe someone nearby can lend you the tool for 30 minutes, save you a dealer fee.

Default Rear Module Location in 2004 C5 Convertible

Where is rear module located in 2004 C5 convertible and which functions does it control?
Is there any reason Active Handling control would become non-functional with replacement of mag shocks with standard OEM?

Location of module you refer to as "rear module" or "module in rear of car"? Is this location same for convertible model?
