Default Lmc5 issues

I just installed an lmc5 a few months ago when my car started the fuel cut on my 99. The steering wheel doesnt lock so i just bought the kit on amazon new from compliance parts 3 months ago. I believe it has a 2 year warranty so id like to get this issue addressed. Its done this twice since the install "steering column lock" and the car would die. I waited 10-15 minutes and the car started as i was at the gas station. I didn't carry a 10mm wrench to disconnect the battery so was stranded as the installation instuctions say " keep in dash for emergency incase of being stranded easy install". After installing it did do it one time so i proceeded to cut the brown loop wire as directed. I hate when this happens i was just about to run some errands. Anyone know how to fix this issue i've out more then 500 miles since installation with not many problems. Does have a new battery so that rules that out. Somewhere i had read there was a 5 wire lmc5 module. I had contacted compliance parts via there website email or message a few months ago about this matter and no response. The car is my daily driver.

Richard told me to turn key on and let gauges sweep before firing up. Gives BCM time to set for lack of better definition. Hope this helps.

Justin, if you still haven't spoken directly with Richard at Compliance, you need to. He is THE expert on this matter. And he always answers the phone himself, or at least that has been my experience.
