So my 01’ C5 has some weird electrical issues ever since my battery died a few months ago (left it sitting for about 5 days)
So i changed my low beams & high beams to LED, tail lights, reverse & license plate light are LED, interior lights are LED, fog lights & corner markers are LED but the corner markers are switchback LED. One issue with it is the interior light underneath the rear view mirror doesn’t turn on anymore & sometimes my turn signals don’t work i would have to press the hazards for them to jumpstart again ?? it’s weird i know. I think it’s because i don’t have the LED Relay Flash Harness but i’m not sure, also if it helps i have MTX Terminator 2 12” subs running on an Power Acoustik RZR1-2500D amp .. Thanks in advance for any help & suggestions.
P.S. i also think i may need a new battery because it’s the original battery and sometimes it struggles to start. it only has 65K miles on it.
Did you put LEDs into the rearview mirror? Do they fail to turn on even if you flip the switch for manual light?
You have switchbacks in the DRL/turn signal, not corner markers. Corner markers are 194 bulbs.
Did you just put LED bulbs into stock tail light housing? So not actual LED tail light units?
No those lights are stock & no they don’t turn on at all. You’re correct about the DRL/Turn Signal & corner markers. Also yes my tail lights are just LED bulbs not LED tail light units.

Not to be a "wise guy", but your battery is 20 years old, which is about 14-15 years longer than most batteries last. I'd start by replacing it...................
i’m thinking of purchasing a Red Top Optima to replace my yellow top because i have my amp wired up to my battery & i need one with top posts as well as side posts.

Hold on, a second. First you said "original battery", now you're saying "Optima Yellow Top". An Optima was NOT the original battery..............but having said that, if it's 4-5 years of age, or older, then yes, replace it.
i’m gonna check that out about the hazards, i got the new battery and it definitely needed it. it fires right up now, before it would struggle almost as if it wasn’t going to start lol
