Charge system fault 99 c5
Charge system fault displayed on dash on my 99 c5 , I’ve recently changed my alternator and battery but still pops up . What else could be throwing this off ? Always stays on dash and a few times the car has lost power and I believe it’s due to the system not being able to stay charged . After car shuts off it turns right back on and good to go until it loses power again. Has anybody had this problem ? And if so what fixed it ?

The car shutting off can be a bad connection at the battery terminals. They need to be clean and tight, 11 foot pounds per the FSM.
Why did you change the battery and alternator? C5's are very particular about the alternator type. Many posts say to have the original alternator rebuilt instead of replacing it with a rebuild of unknown origin.

Get the new battery LOAD tested. It could be bad.
What else has been done to the car in the last few months?
