Screeaching from behind dash
Ok I was told I had to remove the dash to get at the broken speaker. My question is can I not simply pull a fuse or cut a wire to disable it. Thx

I had the same issue with my 01, sounded like a fax modem squeal. You will need to remove the cluster and then remove the speaker.
a few good articles on this forum to help you out, hardest part was getting cluster around the steering column, the rest was easy
