Default Key for Crank

I've got an IW balancer on my Dart ccw crank and it has one key installed with it. This had all been assembled by my engine builder and I want to pull the hub and put a second key on before I then also pin it.

Are keys a standard size for install? Where do I score them? And do I want to actually buy two so they are the same alloy on either side?

I don't have a answer for you, but a question why add another and pin it? Kind of overkill

Why risk allowing one to snap and make me pull the engine or scram the crank when, while the engine is still out, I can add another key to a crank already cut for two and increase my insurance while running my blower setup?

Since the crank is already cut for two keys why not, I do think pinning as well is complete overkill, not to mention that you will be weakning the crank by also pinning it.
