Hi
I started to install Callaway Honker fresh air system. See photo above. The biggest problem seems to be radiator shroud removal. There are few screws in the lower end of shroud, that is not the problem. The problem is two plastic cilps, One each side of shroud. Very narrov space. How to remove these ? There seems to be metallic washer which is locked to plastic clip sharp edges..any ideas ? See my photo

I suppose, these must be cheap OEM disposable fasteners ? I must study if I just cut those away and replace these by smal bolts and nuts ? The narrow space is problem indeed and under car is even more limited space when removing plastic panels.

Yes, they're a cheap, one and done install. You can get new ones at GM. My point is you may as well just get the shroud off, and don't worry about saving them. They usually lose some, to a lot, of their retaining power after removal. They are kinda/sorta an anti-ballooning protection, keeping the shroud firmly against the radiator. At 70mph, there's a lot of air pressure trying to push the shroud away from the radiator, causing air to go wherever it wants (path of least resistance) to, and not where you want it to go. I used a couple of Zip Ties, cheaper, and they work fine. You can't really see them anyway. Hope this helps.....
