road race in Daytona
If anyone wants to road race at Gainesville on 1/17/03, it may still be possible. I spoke with Don Robertson from Gainesville Raceway. He thinks we can have the track for 2 hours for about $100 per car. That is based on about 6 cars participating. More cars = less $. I will try to arrange a time in the AM so it won't conflict with the dragracing. Instructed driving would also be available, at greater expense.
Let me know if you're interested. I have to get back to Don by 1/3/03 and crunch the numbers.

I'm in no questions asked. I was VERY dissappointed to see it go in the first place. Will it be run as a solo event or bumper cars?
Oh yea, do we need roll cage, roll bar, harness bar, harnesses? If so, I'm out as I haven't gotten any of these yet. I'm on the fence as to which way to go as I am not sure what class I will eventually race and I want to conform to their requirements. Actually, with my mods, I will probably be very limited to the class that I will be able to race in.
