Thought I'd throw this out there before I shell out $40-50 for one of these from a catalog.
Has anybody found a source for the short rubber adapter hose used to replace the "accordian" stock piece between the air bridge and the MAF inlet? I've been all over the Net looking and haven't been able to locate one. Seems like a great idea for a group purchase; buy about 50 feet of the stuff and then sell the individual pieces for a reasonable (lower) price.
Mine came with the carbon fiber air bridge that I got from LAPD. I figure if I'm going to replace the tubing I may as well open up the air bridge for better flow also.
Re: Silicone rubber air bridge sources?? (99 torch red vette)
Lots of Ford stuff at the Cartech site, but they look like they know what they're doing. Didn't see the item in question; the goal here is not to buy the individual silicone rubber pieces @ $50 a pop, but to find a source for the hose in bulk and be able to get the item cost down to something reasonable.
a word of warning, I had this soild hose, when the engine moved slightly the soild hose did not , I ended up getting leaks, had to replace it with the stock part.
