Default Cold weather fuel leaks?

C5 Z06 guys: any problematic spots for fuel leaks? Was driving today and went to racetrack, got out and smelled fuel bad. One of the pumps was soaked all around the ground and it was trailing down where I drove, so assumed it was the pumps. But after driving 40+ miles, I rolled down the window and smelled gas while I was driving. Assumed it was my shoes and the air being pulled up. Get home, smell shoes, nada. Go to garage a while later, smell gas. So I’m kinda convinced the car has a fuel leak. I know with the 300zx when it got cold old fuel lines were prone to cracking. Only I can’t find a drop of fuel leaking from this ******. Injectors are bone dry. Any thoughts?

You probably have a leak on the fuel filter and it leaks on to the exhaust pipe where it immediately vaporizes, hence no visible fuel on the floor.

It’s a 2003, fuel filter is in the tank though

Not all 2003's have the FFS fuel system. Early 03's had the old system. The first post says you saw a leak around the fuel pump. With the FFS system it hard to see the fuel pump since it's on top of the tank.

sorry, should have been more specific. Racetrack is a gas station here in Dallas and I meant I saw puddled fuel all around the base of the gas pump.

No problem. The FFS fuel system did have a problem with the crossover connector cracking. Many were repaired early on but evey once in a while one pops up. Unfortunately any warranty is long gone. It's pretty expensive to have the tank replaced. Apparently the leak becomes worse when the tank is over filled or topped off with fuel.
