Default rear lower ball joints

Are the rear lower ball joints the same on the front and rear? Are the C5 and C6 joints the same? Rock Auto doesn't list any rear lowers, GM says need to buy the complete control arm. This is what Rock shows for a 2004: ACDELCO45D2339{#19186956, 89050221}Professional. This is what GM dealer shows for an 07. I'm looking fo ball joints without grease fittings.

Yes, on a C5, all uppers are the same and all lowers are the same. I'd recommend Moog lowers all around. Pay careful attention to their orientation as you press them in, you don't want them going in at an angle. And trust me, they'll really want to.

Beware which ones you buy. Not everything sold as Moog is actually Moog. The Moog uppers are now all Chinese no-name without grease zerks.

If they all are the same then the ACDELCO 45D2339 should work. These do not have grease fittings which is what I'm looking for.

Not exactly true, but almost haha. Moog did revise their uppers to be sealed units that look awfully close to OEM pieces. They're indeed Moog parts and they're made in Korea, not China... I went through that whole thing last year when I rebuilt my suspension. For the price difference, I decided to just buy GM Genuine units for 1/3 of the price Moog wanted. The Moog lowers were still as advertised though. Noticeably beefier than OEM with zerks 👍

And OLD trick....warm the control arm, and pop the ball joints in the freezer, for a while, before going at it.

Tried that as well haha. I was able to get the fronts in very carefully, but eventually pulled the rear arm and took it to a buddy that had a hydraulic press. Many of us have had that experience.

Moog didn't "revise" the uppers. Moog is reboxing NAPA units made in Korea.
