Hello i noticed both my rack and pinion boots have tears in them on a 99 corvette. Someone had replaced them at one time as i can see they ziptied them which looks good just that the current boots have tears in them. Has anyone replaced theres and do you need to remove the tie rod end or wrap them in a bag with oil and stretch the smaller end over the whole assembly. I guess the correct way would be to remove the tie rod ends and count the number of turns on both sides and mark with whiteout the jam nut. Are these the correct boots for both front and left they are the same? Do the mevotech work just as good as stock or would ac delco be the better replacement?
