Windowshield Wipers issue video included.
I removed the cover to show you the issue that is happening. Watch the linkage in intermittent mode, then watch how it acts when it goes to park.
Tell me the best way to fix this please. The video is long, because I cycle thru each mode to show you how the wiper transmission linkage acts.
If you notice the park position is off, eventhough the rest position for intermittent mode is straight. How do I fix this?
My wipers park half way up the windshield.

I recalibrated it just like the video said. I noticed when I had the cover off in the daytime the tab was bent and pushed back would that cause this?
Anytime I reset the calibration, cycle the intermittent mode, then flip it to the off mode the thing moves back out of position.

Steps for recalibration:
1). Turn the wipers to intermittent mode and let the wipers cycle 3 times.
2). When they cycle a third time and they pause turn the car off
3). Remove the T-30 Star bolt and gently rock the crank arm off of the wiper transmission
4). Put the crank arm to the side and gently bend the park tab back to where you think it will hit.
5). Put the crank arm back on in a straight position with the park stop 4-8mm away from the park tab
6). Turn the key to acc position and try the wipers on intermittent mode, but make sure the T-30 bolt is tightened down on the crank arm before you try this. If you just sit the crank arm back in place without tightening it back down with the T-30 bolt you will see it pause half way thru or jam mid cycle. It must be tightened back down each time before you try to test the wiper switch.
7). Flip the wipers to the off position and see it your park postion looks like this. It should look somewhere close to this. If it doesn't rotate into this position when the switch is off when your bent park tab is not bent into the right position for the stop to catch it. Notice the recess is pointed torward the right hand corner.
This is the technical parts of the crank arm mechanism thats attached to the wiper transmission motor.
The parking pawl must hit the park stop properly for your wipers to park in the off position correctly. This is achieved by re-bending the park stop where it will make contact with the parking pawl when the wiper switch is turned to the off position.
The run position is the re-alignment position after step 2 where you shut off after the third cycle
Your re-alignment should look like this with only 4-8mm between the pawl and the stop. If your park tab is hitting correctly the off position should look just like the picture above. If it doesn't look like that then take a set of pliers/hammer and flatblade screwdriver to bend the park stop back to where it makes contact with the parking pawl when it goes to the off position using the wiper switch.
In the off position the parking pawl should be grabbing the park stop like this.
Tools required for fixing a wiper crank arm issue
1 3/8 rachet with a 6" extension
1 flatblade screwdriver (5 plastic clips holding the cover over the wiper linkage)
1 T-30 Socket (Wiper Crank Arm)
1 T-20 Socket (Wiper tranmission bolts (3)
1 10mm socket (Wiper linkage) (3)
1 13mm socket (Wiper ams) (2)
The flatblade screwdriver is used to remove these. This is the cowl thats under your hood covering the wiper transmission
I hope this helps anyone having the same issue as me with the wipers parking half way up the window.
