I’m not getting any codes in the DIC for hvac, tried to doing the reset/recalibrate by pulling the #27 fuse and no luck. When I put the fuse back in I can hear what appears to be the actuators moving but nothing changes when changing which vents the air comes out of when pushing the mode button (dual zone climate control). Not experiencing any hot/cold on one side, just air blows out all vents but not blowing hard through the selected vent since no input from the mode button.
Does this sound like my actuators are not working and and need replaced and they are just not setting off a code?
You have a vacuum failure.
There is a small vacuum line coming from the back of the intake manifold to a vacuum canister in the passenger fender area that then has a line going to the vacuum actuators in the passenger foot well. Some where along this there is a break, most likely in the area of the battery. Common issue with these cars. What year do you have, if a 2001+ you probably also have a P0410 code.
It’s a 2002, every now and then I’ll get the p0410 code but not frequently. Is the hvac related to an air pump code? I checked vacuum hoses after searching and all were fine. Possibly something going on in the bundle of wires or have to double or triple check.
