The battery might be too weak. Low battery voltage causes all kinds of electrical problems. Check the terminals are clean and tight too.
Check diagnostic trouble codes. You can read them through the driver information center of you're not aware already. Reset all messages then hold options and press fuel 4 times.
Sounds like what happens when your ECM? (the control module under the passenger floor) thinks the car is being stolen or the column is locked and shuts it down when it hits 2 mph. I can't think of what the technical term is but there should be a message crawling across the lower speedometer which I also can't remember what it says. There is a fix that some vendor on the forum sells but of course I can't remember his name either. Might be Rich. I'm confident someone will come up with the answer here soon.
Go to C5 TECH. I believe your problem is addressed in the first sticky thread: STEERING COLUMN LOCK FAQs. Best of luck!!

Remove battery and have it charged and load tested, your battery voltage dropped to low triggering the 2mph fuel shut off, disconnecting and reconnecting battery should reset the 2mph fuel shut off.
