Default Traction control failed

Hi there, I have a C5 and the traction control has ceased to work. Also there is some message about stability control not working as well. The car still drives fine, its just that the traction control light is on all the time (and traction control obviously does not work) and a message to service the vehicle comes up. The air con and radio dont work either, although I have not checked any fuses and dont know if this is related to the traction control issue.

Please note that the car has a modified 427 with a heap more power than standard. Before the current problem, the traction control never coped very well, it was vey very intrusive, much more than when the car was standard, presumably due to the extra power. Also, the traction control system worked with the upgraded engine for quite a few years before it took a dump, so it wasn't an immediate problem caused by the extra power - although I am not saying that the extra power has not contributed. Any information or advice would be appreciated.

I am located in Melbourne Australia, although I bought the car in the USA when I was working there in Missouri in 2002, and bought it home with me to Aus in 2004. There seem to be only two Corvette specialists in Melbourne, Australia, i.e., the Corvette Clinic and the Corvette Factory. If anyone has heard of these and know which is best, any info on this would be great too.

Thanks Russell

Have you gotten any "active handling warming up" messages in the DIC? I got the AH warming up, service TC, and service AH. I found out I need a new SWPS, which is no longer available new, and a used one is usually at least $500-$600!!! So I hope that's not the case here. Best of luck to you

What are the codes? Do a search on how to read them.

My ABS/TC/AH hasn't worked in years. It started out with the common C1214, which was repaired once, then came back along with a solenoid code. Would likely require a new EBCM, so I just do without.
