I am trying to lower my front subframe to put the engine back in my 02 C5 however I am concerned because the 4 nuts holding the subframe in are all acting like bolts and feel like they're backing out of the frame has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you solve it all help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Are you supporting the cradle as you're loosing the nuts? And don't use a impact on the nuts, if you already did you might have broke the studs loose from the frame.
Soak the nuts with PB blaster or something similar

I supported the cradle with a jack. I soaked them in PB blast and used a breaker bar and they all started unscrewing from the frame. I think they may have already been broken loose from the frame. If I took them all the way out will they go back in ? Is there a repair process for this? I’ve searched but haven’t been successful in finding much info about this issue.
