2001 Shifter 6 speed issue

I have a 2001 6 Speed that started having issues shifting into 5th 6th and reverse gear. It basically won't move to the right of the third fourth gate. 1st through 4th are fine but I can't move it right. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had an issue with mine where the bolts that retain the shifter had become loose - I put them back with some blue loctite and that was that....

where are those bolts located? How did you access them

You have to move the center console. Four 10mm nuts to get the center compartment out. Couple of electrical connections. The shifter is held by three torx bolts (If I remember correctly) two for the box and one for linkage.
