04 c5 no start
Been working through the wiring diagram to see if anything pops oyt
I changed out the radio, no issues with that, it is working fine.
when I put it back together it will not crank over, turn the key to start position and gauges go dead, lights stay on, Security light is out.
I put the old radio back, it worked so went back over everything to be sure is was all correct.
couldn't see any issue so now the new radio is in the car.
...
Check my logic and let me know what I am missing
looking at the wiring diagram
Ignition switch in Start position goes to the 'Crank' #14 fuse in the passenger fuse panel.
if that shows 12 volts when you turn to start, Ignition switch should be good. I think this is the only thing needed from that position.
It then goes through the PNP (Park Neutral and Backup Switch). Can't get to that but can see it at the TDR. Yellow wire in, Yellow w/Black out to BCM.
if no 12v at Yellow (in) then PNP,
f no 12v at Yellow w/Black then bad TDR.
I've got no 12v at the Yellow so bad PNP?
I think I can prove that by jumping the other two wires on the TDR and see if the starter turns
Would it start even if the BCM has no signal from the TRD?.
Could I just put 12v on the Yellow w/Black and turn the key to bypass the PNP? maybe accomplish the same thing?
Thanks in advance for your response
Ron
