I've seen them go for $100-$300, more often in the $100-$150 range. I know it doesn't narrow it down much, but that's what I've seen here in the Eastern U.S.......

Yes im trying to figure out if its worth it to purchase either the borla straight pipes from amazon for 477$ or 633$ borla single tip stinger round muffler exhaust from rpiparts and reselling the stock exhaust for 150$-250$. Its worth it if someone wants to take off an expensive 1000$ exhaust and use bone stock replacements are quiet. Cany hear any noise from 50ft-50yards with the cam and headers.

grinder11 do you know if you need a lift to remove the stock exhaust or if the standard 8" ramps will get the rear high enough to angle the exhaust out with having to cut the mufflers then that trashes the factory exhaust. I was quoted 120$ by a reputable muffler shop to make my own borla straight pipes with my stock over the axle piping but sure would be nice to have borlas mounted. Can always use blocks of wood on top of the ramps to get the car higher but on rear ramps the front air dam is about 1" from hitting the ground stock ride height.

The cats are worth over $100 alone if you happen to cut them off

man you bet i got 150$ this place pays top dollar for certain cats. My father for 400$ 200$ each for his 04 gto cats last year. I bought my 99 corvette 10 months ago thinking it has cats as it had stock exhaust was lowered 1.5" but when i got it home found out it had alot of issues and when doing exhaust the previous owner had removed the cats and put straight pipe on the stock manifolds and 2.5" factory exhaust. Probably could have got 150$ each or 300$ this place close pays twice as much as other places a cat specialists. Wouldve covered the cost of headers unfortunately mine were missing.

To remove the stock exhaust you need to get the rear up in the air 24 inches as measured from the ground to the bolt where the lower A-arm bolt pivots with the cross member. Also you will need to remove the rear sway bar to frame mounts and lower the sway bar down so you can snake the exhaust out of the car. The hardest part of the whole job is getting the car in the air, the rest of the work can be performed by a 3 year old.

You will also find members cleaning their garage and giving them away for local pick up. That’s how I got my stock set to replace my too loud, for me, after market mufflers. I though about installing them myself but when I saw how high i would have to get the car, I decided to have a local shop do it. His biggest difficulty was finding exhaust gaskets, which he could not in the local area, so he made them himself.

Yes I used the stock over the axle pipes on the new custom exhaust and sold the factory mufflers for 50$ yesterday evening.
