p1111 IAT sensor intermittent high voltage
It doesnt do this in the heat or when its hot outside only sometimes when its 40-50s outside. I tested the sensor with another gm iat sensor from a 96 buick roadmaster and both tested the same on the ohmeter. Does the iat sensor increase in voltage when its colder or hotter? Just trying to determine what this code means and which degrees hot or cold if sensor would read lower or high voltage. Thanks guys. What will this do if it is a c code retard timing in default mode?
So it sends 5 volts to signal and when its cold should read the highest 4 volts or so? Any idea how many volts should pass thru the iat resistor at 50-40 degress and 80 degrees?
