Default Caliper rebuild kit seals too big?

I sent my calipers out to be powder coated and ordered rebuild kits for all of them. All I could find when I ordered for the front calipers at the time were kits by Dorman, with which I have had bad outcomes before. Ecklers was advertising genuine GM kits on their website, the only people that apparently have them and they were expensive but I ordered two kits. I go out to the garage to start putting the calipers back together and the inner seals in the Eckler's kit are impossible to get into the bore and are too damned big. Anyone had this problem? I'm a dumbass and threw the old ones out.

I understand that, I just pictured it with the piston to show the diameter. That seal should contact the sides of the piston, or am I wrong in that assumption?

It’s too big to fit into the slot, I’ve tried numerous times.

No, they’re my original calipers and I had Dave at Renewed Finishes do them.

No, taped everything off as it should be. He’s well respected and extremely good.

I went to Oreilly’s and bought four Chinese made seal kits which fit. I had bought front and rear kits, different brands from two different parts suppliers and all four had the same exact size seals in them, all too large. Go figure the odds of that.

Original seals I received on the left, correct seals on the right. If someone can tell me how to make the large one’s fit, I’m all ears. 😁
