I sent my calipers out to be powder coated and ordered rebuild kits for all of them. All I could find when I ordered for the front calipers at the time were kits by Dorman, with which I have had bad outcomes before. Ecklers was advertising genuine GM kits on their website, the only people that apparently have them and they were expensive but I ordered two kits. I go out to the garage to start putting the calipers back together and the inner seals in the Eckler's kit are impossible to get into the bore and are too damned big. Anyone had this problem? I'm a dumbass and threw the old ones out.
The seals that you have under the piston, don’t go on the piston. Those go into the caliper. The boots go onto the piston.
I understand that, I just pictured it with the piston to show the diameter. That seal should contact the sides of the piston, or am I wrong in that assumption?
I went to Oreilly’s and bought four Chinese made seal kits which fit. I had bought front and rear kits, different brands from two different parts suppliers and all four had the same exact size seals in them, all too large. Go figure the odds of that.

i think you’re doing something wrong but hey, whatever works!
