are all halltech air ducts the same someone is selling one for 125$ just the air bridge wondering if its worth it or if i do get a power duct get the varam. Let me know if its a good idea to purchase this halltech airbridge for 97-00 c5 with iat sensor or if theres nothing in that. he swapped to the varam b2 ram air in the foglights and has his old halltech for sale just the airbridge. The halltech air bridge are expensive but is the varam 100$ powerduct just as good? Should i hold off on the 125$ halltech bridge and just purchase a varam when the time comes.

Yes im trying to decide theres one locally for 125$ the halltech air bridge he had swapped to the whole varam b2 which said added maybe 30-50hp above 30mph which is possible i read they added 3-5 mph up in ram air range. Im mainly looking at powerducts the used halltech looks nice.

30-50 seems way too high for my opinion but I searched high and low for the red duct for a month and couldn't find one at all. Al I'm going to do to my varam duct is add a c5 emblem. I'm not a fan of the sticker from varam
The air duct is just a passage way for the air to go from the MAF to the Throttle body. you want the air going thru the MAF to be the same speed as the air going thru the TB because that is what the PCM has the engine management programmed for. If the air is a larger volume than the stock system, then it will actually slow down entering the TB and end up giving you a richer mixture. The air bridge will not add HP but it can detract about 3-4 HP. Many years ago there were numerous testing done on ram air systems and it was found at 75 mph it added about 3/4 hp and at 150 mph it was up to 7 hp but at 300 mph it was almost 120 hp. As the old scientist used to say give me the results you want and I can design the test method to prove you right.
