Default Questions about starting after storage

Hello all. It's getting warmer here in Toronto and l have 2 questions. I plan to put the gas pedal to the floor board and turning the key but for how many seconds? Next, is once enough or l should do this 2 or 3 times? Have owned the car for a few years but this will be my first time trying this. In the past l just disconnected the battery tender and fired her up. Thanks everyone.

There is no need to push the gas pedal to the floor, what you should do is turn the key to the run position let the gauges do their sweep, and the two second fuel pump prime, then on the third time after the fuel pump prime turn the key to the start position.

Doing a “clear flood crank” is easy…just keep the pedal to the floor and hold it there…5-10 seconds is fine…you won’t do any harm to the engine !!
