Default FAST 92mm Intake help..

Looking for some guidance from the gurus here!

I have a '04 Z06 with a Vararam, PCR heads, Texas Speed Cam, American Racing Headers and full exhaust. The car has been tuned for the way it sits now, but I'm rounding up parts for a FAST 92mm intake.

Currently, I have the FAST 92mm intake and LS2 silver blade TB. I purchased the intake used from a friend and it came with stock LS1 fuel rails and LS7 42# injectors. ** I will be ordering the adaptor harness this week for the TB

The guidance I'm looking for is:

- Should I upgrade my fuel rails while I'm doing the swap or are the LS6 sufficient?
- Are there big benefits to porting the TB and or intake - The car is mainly street driven with some autocross events in the future
- Should I keep the OE LS6 injectors or use the LS7 42# injectors?
- If I change the injectors, I assume I would need to source a aftermarket MAF?

Lastly... Can anyone suggest a good tuner in the Houston Area?

You sure you want to go down this route? This is a lot of money, work, and mods for nominal HP gains. Fast 92 and a TB is like 12hp.

The guidance I'm looking for is:

- Should I upgrade my fuel rails while I'm doing the swap or are the LS6 sufficient? - LS6 should be sufficient for the power level
- Are there big benefits to porting the TB and or intake - The car is mainly street driven with some autocross events in the future - I have seen minimal gains of only a couple HP on ported TB, but the FAST intake does seem to respond well to porting. Its not cheap, so it would be up to you if the cost is worth the expense. Again, I would say probably not noticeable at your power level.
- Should I keep the OE LS6 injectors or use the LS7 42# injectors? - the LS6 injectors are most likely maxed out on duty cycle. I would use the larger ones. My stock LS6 with headers has the injectors at 92% duty cycle, so a cam and heads would definitely put it over the top.
- If I change the injectors, I assume I would need to source a aftermarket MAF? - The stock MAF is capable of handling all the changes.

Lastly... Can anyone suggest a good tuner in the Houston Area? - Its a shame you're not in Ohio, lol. I have a really good guy who does my stuff. I would see how close you are to GSpeed. Louis is another top notch Corvette builder.

-Re: questions 1/3. I don’t know that you can run ls7 injectors on ls1/6 fuel rails, maybe someone can confirm/correct me on that. You likely need bigger injectors so you can either change fuel rails or sell the ls7 injectors and get new ones. The bosch 36lb GTP injectors are pretty affordable and flow ~42lbs at 58psi while working with your ls1/6 fuel rails
