Default Removing door panels for window tint

How hard is it to remove the door panels about 1" away from the door glass to allow for window tinting without catching any of the dirty inner weatherstrip particles when tucking the the window tint under the inner felt weatherstrip? Do you just pull the door panel all the way around and lift up about 1/2-1" and it will hang loosely then just lift it back up over glass door frame area and pop the the push clips back in? Im trying to do the precut 30$ ebay window tint that both times ive tried were cut to the exact size. Also whats legal 25% or 15% window tint or is it 35%? Its me Justin Raney had to register for a real account facebook sign in wouldnt work and how do you remove the front mirror inside weatherstrip to hang loose to get full access to the glass?

There are two t-20’s behind the door pull and plastic pins along the bottom. Be careful not to break any. Then you’ll have to unclip the door button pad from the bottom there is a metal clip. But don’t pry up too hard on that or it will break. Then the door panel lifts up and off.

i would just tint the glass with it on. Door panels can be a real pita.

Dang that lower window weather strip and rubber corner by mirror are hard to tuck in without the backside of the tint grabbing particles and leaving dirty tint in those areas. Also the tint squeeze is hard to fit under there. The precut window tint ive used form ebay is exact fit just line them up a couple mm from the top window edge and tuck with squeeze. Also are you suppose to use baby shampoo on the backside of window tint? Thats what i had read when attempting to tint an 07 g6. It had the top window rails a complete door so it was hard vs the f-bodies or corvette that dont have an upper door frame with the glass. What tint we looking at 25%

based on the age of these cars, plan on a few of the plastic trip retainers breaking. about $10 for 50 of them

I used to do tinting. U can just push down the rubber gasket on the lower part of the window. Once ur done tinting and slightly heating the top of the window so the tint won’t move. U raise the window a little and the rubber gasket come back up into its place

Theres two t20 torx bits behind the door handle cover? Once those are removed the white push in clips or door panel can be pulled out and lifted up over the top door frame where the window seal is?

I think im going to attempt tinting them myself with the ebay 30$ precut window tint. So clean the windows with windex first does it have to be ammonia free or alcohol free window cleaner before applying tint with baby shampoo? I did this is 2008-2009 to my 95 and 98 z28 same no top rail window design and came out good enough to tell the car had good window tint some flaws but nothings perfect.
