Hi
We just replaced the ignition switch in my 2000 C5. since we did this the car will start then die in about 10 sec. The Vats has been turned off. We did not have the problem with the old switch. Am i missing something, where would you start looking to locate the problem.
Try this bypass. I have the resistors in the car with the instructions should i have this problem. I have installed the LMC5 (complianceparts.com) with the brown wire but never know when the electronics in the C5 will try to make it a bad day.
I don't belive the problem is with the VATS, as you state that you have had it turned off, and if it we're the vats it would not allow the engine to crank over. The problem is related to fuel pressure, somehow the new switch is not allowing the fuel pump to stay on.
