2002 with 59K miles. Battery went dead while I was out of town for a week. Replaced the battery now my horn does not work. Is there any other things I need to check other than replacing the horn then if necessary replacing the switch that is within the center of the steering wheel? Also I did swap out the plug in part on the under hood fuse panel with another one of the same number with no results.
. Weird things can happen with these cars, and latent codes can cause issues. Check the codes, take note of any that are present, and clear them. If that doesn't fix the problem you can begin further diagnosis.
panic button :...can hear the horn diaphram pulsing hard, but no horn..same with the fob lock button....while driving and pressing s wheel ,,,no horn sound.

If no horn with the FOB it’s either the horn, horn relay, fuse, or wiring or the ground…not knowing your electrical expertise I’ll stop here.
