Default Remote start, security light and intermittent lock out.

Hi All,
I am perplexed and need help. I purchase my 04 in September of 2020. That fall I had a professional install of a remote start system that worked like a charm. I proceeded to put in a variety of other accessories and one time totally forgot to disconnect the battery. Long story short last summer I was installing a camera system w an lcd mirror and apparently caused a short. The short was a wire that I must have nicked on the wiper motor circuit. It took out the wiper motor circuit board on the motor. Fixed the short and replaced the wiper motor. All seemed good. Then went to use remote start. Didn't work. DOA. Apparently I fries that device as well. Called the company that did the initial install. They diagnosed the issue and replace the remote starter module but said that the driver side theft locking module was bad and that the alarm would sound when I did remote start. That actually did not happen initially.

About 2 weeks ago I put the key in the ignition and it didn't seem to go in right and I wiggled it and eventually went in. The car starter, but the security light was on and stayed on. The next time I went to start the keybdidnt work and the system locked out as if it was the wrong key resistor. But it was the same key I've always used. Eventually was able to start the car w the remote system and put the key in, turn to on a all is ok...no security light, and great function. Later put in key, no start. Remote start worked again. Then used key and started right up but the security light stayed on. Now the key causes lock out, the remote start works. I looked at DIC codes and am getting B 2723 HC. On these forums they seem to indicate either a anti theft relay gone bad in the passenger foot well, or the key lock cylinder sensor has gone bad. I have ordered both and can easily have cylinder rekeyed to my specific key and install both. It is gnawing at me about the driver side theft locking module that the tech said was fried. Door locks work from switch and remote. Windows work.

What does that module do? Any ideas on which component is the issue, or shall I just replace all 3 components.

Thanks in advance.

Dave
