I know we've discussed problems with the sport seats here before, just curious to know if GM has finally issued a fix that works once & for all to eliminate the seat rocking?? :steering:
"Chevrolet has issued TSB #02-08-50-002 "Driver Seat Movement During Acceleration and Braking (Replace Adjuster Assembly)". It applies to 1997 - 2001, and 2002 (built prior to VIN breakpoint 25106379) Corvettes with power seats (RPO AG1 or AG2).
The TSB states to replace the seat adjuster assembly with a new part released to correct the condition. The new part numbers are 88953528 (power driver seat without memory) and 88953529 (power driver seat with memory)."
What kind of cost is associated with this part? I have just really began to notice this problem and it ticks me off that the General can have this many cars on the road with the problem and not issue a recall or at least a break in the repair.
I had this repair done under warrantee. Because it was warrantee I do not know the price but I can say that it seems to be a good fix I have not had a problems since.
