So my lights come on out of the blue but then will l shut off other times. I do notice that the lights come on after a bump so is there something I can check (connection??) On the unit at the back of the car? What I did notice is this...the second I finished replacing my plugs and wires the light started coming on. Is there something I might have hit on the driver side while doing plugs or just something???
What bites is that my dic buttons don't work,.....I have checked the grounds near the plugs and all that but what am I looking for? They're tight and everything. Like I said it all started after I did my plugs
Check the wires going to the hubs. Especially since it is related to bumps.
First try wiggling them.
Second try reversing them. Take the right side off and swap it with the left side.
Third try cleaning/replacing the end connections.
Fourth try replacing the entire wire with connectors.
The EBCM doesn't care about bumps. The hub wiring does. Check around where you were touching things when you did the plug changes. It's always the last thing you did.
I got the 1225 code and lights yesterday when slight raining and hit bumps which indicates left front hub. I have jiggled the connector reaching over tire last time this happened and it worked fine again until yesterday. If was wet out it may never come back until damp again and a big bump.

I've felt around the entire area of the plugs and even the air system by the master cylinder and all is well. The grounds are right as heck and look fine. I'm not saying your wrong and I'll look even harder tonight. I just find it very convenient that no issues whatsoever until I did the plugs...does it truly bother me like a plague? No because my last c5's ebcm was out and I know that if you don't drive like formula 1 then you're fine. For that reason and cost I'll never attempt to fix the unit or buy a used one, nah
It's the connectors from the hubs to the jumper wires to the main wiring harness. The jumper is about 3 foot long and has connectors on both ends. They lay on the frame. The connectors get corroded inside and if you move them or bump them - bobs your uncle. I had one wire that I had to let dangle down at a bad angle for it to work. If I picked it up and aligned it nicely - boom. Instant problem. Pull it out and let it fly in the breeze - no problem.
When you clean the connectors take them apart completely. They have many parts (can you say "Over-complicated"? Sure you can.). If you just try to bend the contacts without taking it apart you are making it worse. The contacts meet the other way. Not the way it looks from the outside. Take one apart. You'll see.

Very interesting. So they're easily discernable when you pop the hood?
They lay on the frame or just behind the radiator. Follow the leads from the hubs. The connectors are blue and white and about 2" long. The jumper wires are about 3 foot long and join the hub wires to the main electrical harness. They are usually filthy.
