Default New wheel fitment

Seeing as the current set of tires are 6 years old and I'm not really liking the current wheels it seems a good time to consider options. Eyeballing these for the '98... https://www.ebay.com/itm/38423541461...2Cchnl%3Dmkcid
Does anyone see a fitment issue with these?

I would ask the seller this question and see if any spacers are needed etc. That way if you have any issues, you have a paper trail for a return.

I have sent a message already. I'm not clear about the factory offsets on these cars.

The offsets appear to be very close. I need to know the backspacing though.

With offset and width you can calculate backspacing. Look online for a calculator.

I just tried one and the results using the factory figures come up almost a 1/2" greater...not comforting. This is the reasoning behind my questions here on this forum. Ask me about wheels for mid-60's vehicles and I can probably tell you what's needed off the top of my head. I don't have much experience with the newer vehicles. Much better to get input from someone who has a similar vehicle and has tried different combinations.

Vendor just replied and the backspace is 7.38". I elected to use (4) 18x9.5 wheels all around. I suppose there isnt much sense in going back with the TPM sensors if I plan to rotate these tires.

Well, same offset with 1" more width makes for 1/2" more backspacing.

Why no TPMS? It's really easy to reprogram them when you move the wheels.

Mostly because I'm not a big fan of the things...I suppose I can just transfer them tho to save the cost of different valve stems. I'll wait until they are in hand before deciding on tires. Appears 275/35R18's all around will keep them close to the same overall diameter I have now. If there is no poke on the fronts I would love to go with a 40 series with a little more diameter.

Well, same size wheels the ABS and TC and AH if you have it won't work right either.

I've heard it both ways. Who knows how long those things will continue to operate with these junky cars anyway?
