There are a few of them under the hood. Yes, I know my Ground Block nut is off - I'm trying to find a place to mount a fuel filter in front of the Alternator along the frame. (LSA Blower Install)
Dumb Question??

Never actually noticed this before. Not an expert but if I was to guess.. Our cars have the Frame Hydroformed with high pressure water.. that sure looks like orifice where they pressurized it.

By the way. look like the nut holding your ground block is missing.. Or could just be the way it looks in the photo..

Interesting thought Chuckster. If that is the case I'd like to see that happen. Maybe there's a UTube on that process. I'll look.
And... I did mention the Ground Nut in the OP. I'll be fixing it as I progress.

Anyone else have an opinion? If I could safely remove it and put a nut-sert in the hole it might help with the filter mounting.

That's one of four cradle bolts and that should be the clip that keeps it from spinning. Looks different than my 99's - must have switched to a different design in the later years of production?

Hmmm.... When I get home I'll look at that - Is appears to be right above those. And I bet there's 4 in the back UNDER the body? I recently installed a cam, lifters, Pinned HB, all the Fixin's and did it without removing the Steering Rack. I was VERY careful with those Cradle Bolts - Horror Stories.

Ya, just a cradle bolt and there are 4 more for the back cradle.

Interesting and odd theory about the pressure port LOL.
