Default Brake pads....

I haven't seen much discussion here, just curious to know what makes for a good replacement pad over the factory offerings?? Something low on dust but high on braking ability. Suggestions & pricing ????

:lurk:

I went with the Raybestos quiet stops pads front and rear. I have had them for a couple weeks now and seem to be very low in brake dust. Found them on the Internet for 130.

For everyday street use you'll be hard pressed to find anything better than the stock OEM pads. This is one part of the C5 that GM did right!

I hear that the GM Ceramic Pads are low/no dust and only sacrafice a little in braking performance. Great for street use.

I agree stock pads dust a whole lot.

I would recommend the GM ceramic pads. They are QUIET and virtually dust free compared to the stock pads and several varieties of performance pads that I have used. Stopping power is the equal of the stock pads, and they are easy on the rotors. I AutoX the car and run several track days a year. Got mine from Fitchners here on the forum - about $160.00 shipped for front and rear sets complete. :D
