Default c7 z06 wheels

Thought id post since it says to have certified installer TEST FIT wheel rotate 360and check for proper clearance once tire is mounted they cant be returned. I just set the rim on and rotated and to see how it looks as waiting had me looking at other wheels but i think these are the ones to go with.
Someone told me to get 18s incase of brake upgrade upfront i think the dual piston c5 brakes will work alot better then the single piston 98 f-body brakes everytime at the dragstrip 1/4 mile id barely have enough braking room as other cars took the first exit id have to take the last exit when i had my 98 z28 6 speed turbo stock longblock, small cam, springs, spec 2+ clutch and s475 turbo 9lbs maybe 550whp tops that did 126mph 1/4s in heat and 128-131mph 9lbs 12.06 2.2 60ft with stock 7.5" 10 bolt rear in sub 40 degree weather midnite drags easy launch at 3k-3500 rpm clutch dump with terrible but okay nitto 315 nittos on torque thrust m classics.

Well im awaiting another shipment from jegs for the replacement of one wheel that has slight damage to the clearcoat. The one wheel is good and looks great i didnt bolt it down but rotated it 360 degrees to make sure it clears the brakes as it says to do so before mounting tires or wheels couldnt be returned. Im nervous as this time jegs is shipping it from there wearhouse the replacement wheel and theyre boxing is quiet different a brown box with an empty loose wheel so ill be waiting thursday for the replacement wheel. I look forward for some 18x10.5 in the rears same style wheel. Someone told me 18s upfront allowed for bigger brakes if ever needed c6 z06 or whichever. Ive been delayed 2 weeks already since jegs sent a damaged wheel and one got lost during shipping they had fedex pick up the damaged wheel and directly dropshipped them from oe wheels but when they arrived one had a clearcoat defect im worried about spreading when washing. When paying 230$ a rim they should be perfect as new. Theyre is a 1 year on finish and lifetime structure. I think these will look nice if i can get jegs to send me the other undamaged wheel with front fender accent stripes and a 284 wing. The zr 600$ sideskirts carbon fiber would even look great. I do need to cerakote or put a protective finish on the headlights and do some window tinting. Im awaiting for the other wheel to arrive before i order tires and mount them. Oe replica told me the ironman imove 2 were the cheapest and were 120$ each mounted and balanced to the rim when ordered thru them but im already looking at riken raptor as 245/40/18 300A treadwear from tire rack for 125$ each with the free 2 year road and hazard protection as well as roadside assistance to a repair facility within 25 miles. Discount tire said they could maybe special order the kumho ps31 tires which run 156$ from tire rack or 125$ from speedy tire and price match as well and special order. The thunderer mach V said they couldnt get.

May i ask would someone use this wheel if they purchased it new or keep sending it back till they received what they payed for. Im worried about jegs same part number of these wheels come in a empty brown box with no package foam when i asked if they could open the box before shipping and add protective foam so the rim wouldnt get damaged as it fits loosely and bounces around in box everytime its picked up. They have 1 year warranty on finish. Pretty nervous about the getting the other good wheel. Jegs used an unpackaged loose rim that rides and scuffs the surface finish oe replica the wheel manufacturer uses firm fitting a foam layer to protect the wheels and side handles in the boxes vs jegs plain box that is picked up sideways and wheel tossed everytime.
