Getting ready for a short road trip to San Diego from Bako so I figured I would get all the fluids done before and get a reading from the DIC in case there was something I need to know. Only had the C5 for a little over a month or so and she only get driven on the weekends. I have never check the DIC so here is the readout I got...
40 BCM
B2583H Left front turn signal monitor circuit
B2578H Right front turn signal monitor circuit
B0432H Rear defogger relay circuit
58 SDM
B1001H Seat control module
60 IDC
U1160H Refer to DTC U1001 Lost communication all modules malfunction
80 Radio
No Comm
99HVAC
B0367H Right actuator feedback open HVAC
AO LDCM
B2252H Key cylinder switch fault left door control module
A1 RDCM
B2285H 12V Power feed #2 fault Left door control module
They all have the "H" value and according to what I have read here and elsewhere, they are historical items. There were no "C" or any other codes. So based on what I know about these codes which is very little and why I am asking for your input, firstly are any of these codes something I should be worried about? Were they part of a recall event? Were they remedied? I believe the 60 IDC and 80 Radio codes are related as there is an aftermarket radio installed but again I don't know for sure. Lastly, is there a way to make them disappear permanently? I know they can be reset but they come back on the next startup.
Any suggestions and/or input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance and cheers!!!
If all are “H” or history DTC’s just erase them using the DIC, a scan tool or you can try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so and see if they clear…on the next start up but before shutting the engine off you can scan for codes again and then and see if they come back as “C”…current !!
To optionally reset the codes once in manual mode, press and hold RESET until it displays "NO CODES". Press OPTIONS to go to the next module. Repeat the steps in this paragraph until you have reset the codes in all the computer modules. NOTE!! Only reset the codes IF you want to - it is NOT necessary to do this.
Thank you both for the replies. I have used the reset button and they do go away until the next start up then the re-appear. I will try out the battery disconnect method and see if that works. thanks again, cheers!!!

Whether you use the reset or the battery method the DTC’s will go away but like I said if they return on the next startup and show up as current you will have to address those current codes whichever ones appear !!
