Still getting high oil pressure!!
Besides my right foot, what's causing the oil pressure to go as high as 69 PSI? I can't remember it being so high before insalling the RKS headers.
HELLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!

69 is high, but shouldn't be a problem. I assume that's at fairly high revs, not idle?
Normal oil temp for me on the highway at 80+mph is around 212, but it takes a while to get there. Same for spunky driving in the twisties.

:iagree: What oil/filter are you using? Could make a difference, or you might have a bad sensor. just keep an eye on it for awhile. :smash:

Re: Still getting high oil pressure!! (FNC80)
Seen my pressure in the low 50's this winter. Ususal averages 35-45. Oil temp has gotten as high as 235 with spirited driving in the moutains (hard acceleration from 2nd to 3rd)
Typically oil temp stays between 200-212.
Later, Keith

Alex did you check the oil like I told you over lunch, remember Andy drained some oil and didn't replace it that I can recall. Let me know what happens, my pressure goes up anytime I have low oil.

Oil was a little on the low side, but nothing major. Ended up talking with the dealer and Andy and both said it was within normal, especially with running a bit cooler. Low PSI is what to watch out for!

Thanks John. In speaking with the tuner, these pressures should be fine, given the RPMs I'm living at.

What oil viscosity are you running... I switched back to 10w-30 and my pressure went up especially in the colder weather.

10W30 like always. It appears the lower engine temps might be causing it to run a little higher.

Thats very good! mine is usually around 37-40 depending on the temp. as long as you're not going over 80 psi I wouldn't worry about it, 60-70 psi is good, but too much can be bad, but it's rare that it ever happens!
