The time has come for my cruise control not working thread. Theres a lot of them floating around. I've done a load of reading here and on digital corvettes. I've gone through the fuses in the passenger footwell, adjusted both (M6) switches under the column, and reset with the brake pedal. Still no dice.
Something interesting that mine does that other posters haven't seemed to have happen is that the DIC will display a "set" message with the associated speed, but it never triggers the throttle to manage it. It just disengages the cruise and then it won't accept another "entry". I've done everything I can think of up to this point aside from straight up replace good fuses.
Something to note: my car has a PCM from a 04 GTO. I don't think that would play a role here, but its worth mentioning just in case. Never know.
Also, its a '99.
Thanks for any and all help. Have a good'n.

Reason: Model year input
If it’s seeing random misfires it will disengage. They don’t always set a check engine light.
Is it modified? Cam, lighter flywheel or a high stall converter can also cause the issue.
I don’t think having a P59 vs P01 ecu would cause this. 04 C5 used the P59.

It has a cam and some other goodies. I was actually able to get ahold of the previous owner (who modded the car) last night and he said he thinks he had the CC tuned out. Can't remember. I have no idea why anyone would do such a thing, but...okay. I'll have a look at the (if any) codes in the DIC and see if I can track something related down. Worse comes to worse I'll be visiting the tuner.
