Alternator question
I have a 2001 a&a build 647 rwhp i have larger fuel pump updated fans and everything else recommended for a high hp build. I also have a double din radio with amp and subs. My question is do i need a highout alternator the one that is in the car is a 240 amp and im having electrical issues abs traction control and communication issues i just replace the BCM too. I need to replace this alt and i really dont think i need anything with that many amps. I think it's part of my problem. Should i go back to the stock or to a 145 amp and info would be great.Hope this make sense as i have been up all night.

If you go to your local generator/alternator repair/overhaul shop, you would be surprised how professional and knowledgeable those folks are...that is how they make a living...plus on the upside, your cost working with these local shops are a LOT less expensive than going through retailers or auto parts dealers, who use these local shops and markup your cost double +.
