Shifter Problems
I had my Manuel shifter out of the car when I was installing some tunnel insulation. When I put it back in the car, I now cannot get it into Reverse. It is a C6Z shifter and Had been in the car car for several years. Anyone know a secret on how to get into the elusive Rear gear

Did you have the lower shifter box removed also? If so, the upper shifter has an alignment pin, used like this: 1) loosen the shift linkage from the lower box shift rod; 2) drop the upper shifter down into the lower shifter, which may require jiggling the shifter around in order to find that mating hole; 3) tighten the shift linkage onto the shift rod. Then try reverse.
