C-5 Gas gage problem
I've seen several threads and used much of the info on C-5 gas gage problems. My C-5 reads empty. I've used the techron (2 tanks) and will use a 3rd soon. I have a fellow vet owner who told me I have to reset the computer and it may work. Can anyone share this procedure? Thanks for any help!

If the Techron doesn't resolve the problem one of the fuel tank level sending units may have to be replaced. You should have a DTC that will tell you which one is causing the problem.

Does it ever read anything at all? Mine would slowly go to full, then worked fine until you got down to around 1/2 tank. Then, it stayed at half full until you were almost empty, and then plummet to empty, leaving no warning time until you'd start walking. It took me over 1,200 miles, and 5 bottles, of Techron, before it finally started working correctly. I also used Shell premium, which has Techron blended in with the fuel. Mine never did die completely, as in reading nothing but empty. Best of luck to you....

C5 fuel sending units are prone to failure, especially after ~20 years. Techron is just a bandaid shot in the dark that MIGHT work, but just as often will not. The proper fix is to replace the sending units in each fuel tank. If you can identify the offending unit to which tank has failed you can just replace that one, but both of them are prone to fail. If one has failed, the other usually isn't far behind. The job can be a pain in the *** (especially if you have a late 03 or any 04) but it's not insurmountable.
