Default Simple?? questions about O2 Sensors

Late 03 Z - I am installing XSPower LT's and Cat-Less X-Pipe. Here is a pic of it sitting on top of the OEM set up. I have read MANY posts about the O2's - SO much that I am confused.

I have bungs in the collectors. They are lower than the original iron manifold location so I guess I'll need extensions. For the front O2's, Does the Driver side Sensor plug into the Driver Side connector - and Visa Versa ? Or do they Criss-Cross? These are the Flat Plug sensors.

I also have Bungs just in front of the X-Pipe. I am Running No Cats. Do I even NEED o2's there? (Square Plug) And do they connect to the same sides or Cross over?

I have read that some people put the rear O2's up front in the collector (Square Plug). Is that really a 'thing'? What is the purpose there? If I use the rears (Square) in the collector I won't need an extension - If I keep them in their correct positions how long of an extension should I get for the front ones in the collector - 24" seems like a LOT.

I have 4 new O2's - 2 short wire Flat Plug and 2 Long wire with square plug. If I don't need the rear ones I can just cap the bungs. And, what is the best way to cap the unused plug (flat or square) under the hood? It will get very hot right there - tape might get gooey.

There is also a 5th bung for a Wide Band that I will be using.

Maybe I think too much? I just want to do this once and do it right.
Thanks for any help...

Drivers side plug goes to driver side header, passenger to passenger side.

WOW! That was fast! Thanks!
Since I'm running no cats Do I need all 4 of em? Is it true that the rear ones can get used upstream? And why would that be 'better'? I know that some people just do stuff and post it but it's not always good advice. I Just want to be sure.
Thanks again.

Use the front ones in the collectors. Don't bother with the rear ones because they won't do anything. You don't need extensions. Cut plugs off old sensors if you want to plug the connector. Just make sure the wires are real short and don't touch anything or pull the wires right out of the connector so you just use the housing..

Thanks for the reply. Actually,I thought about just de-pinning the old ones and filling the holes with silicone right after I posted that. Great minds, right?
A good,cheap fix.

You don't need the rear o2's. I think I've read where some people used the rears up front, but I wouldn't bother going that route. The only purpose I believe is to avoid buying extensions. You may not even need the extensions, and if you do they aren't that expensive.

Thanks for all the replies. I had a NO C5 few days. One son graduated from Grad Skool in Chicago and our Daughter had a Baby - all in one long weekend. My wife & I had to Divide & Conquer. Non Stop Action.
I think I may need an extension for just the Pass Side. I should know later today
