lowering c5
The front studs are about 3/8" of thread left out of the springs so it cant be RAISED OR LOWERED? much higher or is that lowered? The idea is the tighter the bolts or front lowering studs the higher the car sits up front? For the rear the looser or less threads lowers the car allowing the control arms to hang and wheels tuck up into fender correct? I have about 1.25" of thread left on the rear bolts. Does this mean i could possibly lower it 3/4-1"? Ebay has the 30$ rear lowering kit with new polyurethane bushings. Are these bolts strong enough and are they longer then stock?
It looks like it could be lowered 2"-3" atleast in the rear to have the same height as the front but i dont think theres lowering kits except the eibach 150$ kit.
I may just try to lower it with the stock rear bolts down to maybe 3/8"-1/2" of thread id hate to have the leaf spring bolts or a nut fall off.
