Link Kit,Rear Suspension Inner Toe
I took my car in for an alignment yesterday. The tech was very through and noticed play in the rear inner tie rods. He showed me the issue so I know he was correct. Not so bad that it couldn't be aligned (front toe and camber were the real problem).
So I'm looking for 2 inner tie rods, also called :
It appears this part fits both C5 and C6 cars but has been discontinued by GM. I haven't found aftermarket replacements either.
Any suggestions?

I had just recently done some research as my rear outer TRE boots are torn. My inners should still be good, I hope...
Anyways, for outers at least I went with Ecklers and they should be arriving today: https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/1997...-112910-1.html
For inners, the only current options I came across are performance versions:

I don't know if the C6 rear inner tie rod is compatible with the C5, but I came across this:

It cross-references with GM # 88955489, which appears to be for the rear inner tie rod.
Heck, maybe I should order a couple just to have them on-hand...

Thanks for the reply. I found out that the GM part is NOT discontinued. For some reason the GM online dealer show it as discontinued, but it is actually available at the dealers. Maybe a parts file snafu.
The ones from Rock Auto are pretty cheap at $21.79. The Dealer MSRP is $103 for the GM part. Looks like I can get them for $70 from a GM dealer if I shop around. I'm not sure if I should go for OEM or try the cheaper parts.

That is pretty interesting. It might be worth clarifying with dealers that they can, in fact, get the part. In the last couple weeks alone, there were 2 different C5 & C6 parts which didn't show up as discontinued, but then my orders got cancelled... because the parts were actually discontinued and/or on indefinite backorder.
