Hi! I just purchased this 2004 C5 on Tuesday. LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS! Suspension is overly bouncy, super slammed. It is so low.... railroad tracks, rough roads, and large pit holes are annoying and a huge issue. I don't have a ton of experience with Vette's, but I know enough to know the springs have been cut or compressed. I briefly stoped by a local suspension shop, didn't put on lift, but he said it looks like struts stock but he believes cut or compressed. So most likely no coil overs. He quoted to restore to stock height $2,500. I want a much smoother ride, but maybe coil overs to where I could adjust and possible have somewhere in the middle? Thoughts, suggestions on Parts, Brands on both are appreciated with experience. I may put Struts and Shocks on myself, then get aligned. I still want to put it on a lift just in case something can just be adjusted to give me a better ride, and additional height.
This is my first post. Thank You for having Me. I look forwards to any and all of your feedback.

I'd ask around for recommendations on a different suspension shop in your area.
I just learned this after watching a You Tube Video. Around the same time when you posted this. . The Lowering Bolts on the leaf Springs. That will happen tomorrow. Thx for your free help. Much appreciated.

Shawn, welcome to the Corvette Forum. I think you'll soon find it one of the most useful tools in your tool box.
Shawn, are you "Sacramento Shawn" because you live in or near Sacramento? If so, no-brainer, go to Abel Chevy. Rich knows his **** and will get you sorted.
Stock, the car can be lowered or raised, with factory-original lowering bolts. That's no aftermarket parts, it comes from the factory with an adjustment range of ride height, using the leaf springs (composite material, and transverse, not like a truck like some say.)
However, while lowering it will create issues due to poor road quality, it generally won't make the car feel "bouncy." That usually means you've got overly stiff springs. You _may_ indeed have coilovers. You may also just have shocks that are poorly set up for your car, which would tend to make it significantly stiffer and "crashier" rather than "bouncy." If you get a camera into your wheel well, and some good light, we can tell ya what you have without even lifting the car up.

The car pictured will hardly have any rear suspension travel and will easily hit the bump stops which are thick sponge type rubber so fairly springy.
