I replaced all the bulbs with LEDs and installed the hyper flash harness. The brake and turn signals function normally, but the emergency flashers now hyper flash when when activated. Is this normal? If not, what' is wrong and can it be rectified? Thanks for the help
It depends on the lights. With the new Gen 2 Vette-Lights LED tail lights I just installed, it does the hyperflashing. With the Gen 1 lights it didn't. There's a resitor on the Gen 1 that the Gen 2 doesn't have. I have an older hyperflash harness installed but that really shouldn't matter. I think it depends on what lights you have.
Normal because the 4 ways use the flasher in the hazard switch. I installed halo tail lights with resistors. I hate resistors in lighting circuits (just draw current and make heat) so I removed them. I have normal blinkers due to the hyper-flash harness and fast hazards now. I am fine with it - how many times do you ever really use hazards and when you do they will definitely be seen now.
Weirdly I just replaced my hazard switch due to inoperative directionals at times. Now I have the directionals hyper flashing but the 4 ways flash normal speed. No bulbs are out.... Did they change something with the Hazard switches? I bought it from corvette central.
