Default Electrical Gremlin

Good Morning All, it seems that my car has developed a weird electrical gremlin lately. Here's how it goes.
Put the key in, let the gauges do their thing and then try to start it. It'll start but it says reduced power, traction control error......obviously runs like it's on reduced power. Here's what I noticed. After the gauges have stopped moving the speedometer stops on 10mph instead of zero. If I open the drivers side door it will drop to zero. Thought that was odd.

When I go in and clear the codes it will start right up and run fine. I was leaving for work and didn't have time to look at all the current codes that were thrown. Just reset them. I'll get them next time.

Any thoughts? What would the connection be to the door?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Try the shake the door accordion trick.
So grab that thing and move it around a bunch. See what that does.

The I2S Buss communication line runs through that bundle to the door control module. It’s either shorting somehow, or has an intermittent connection where it plugs in under the side kick panel near your left foot.
It’s a weird issue.
I had that fix mine, so I went inside and cleaned those connections with contact cleaner.
GM used pretty crappy connectors back then.

Who in the world would've thought that a wire that runs inside a friggin door would have anything whatsoever to do with the way a car starts and runs. I'll try to mess with it tonight if I get a chance but it may be a weekend thing. Thanks for the help.
