C5 Corvette Hyperflashing Issue with Hyperflashing Harness Relay installed
Hey all,
Got my first Corvette recently and just going through a long list of maintenance checks and mods. I changed the taillights to G2 Laser Taillights from Vette Lights and used the included hyperflash relay harness and I am still getting hyperflashing in the hazards, the turn signals no longer work. When I swap back to just the OEM hazard switch, both the turn signal and hazards hyperflash. I have LED front marker lights that are the correct size and installed correctly (polarity. Just out of curiosity, I reinstalled the incandescent front marker bulbs and the same thing is happening which leads me to believe that the issue is with the taillights. I installed 1 incandescence taillight and left the other 3 LEDs and the hyperflashing went away ONLY on the hazard switch but continued on the turn signal with ONLY the OEM flasher connected. I recently purchased a used OEM center vent that came with another hazard switch assembly and what appears to be another hyperflash relay harness. Tried them and the same issue occurred.
Neuro,
The hyperflash harness applies only to the turn signal function by bypassing the original flasher. The hazards still use the original flasher within the hazard switch. - Causing exactly your symptoms. I solved mine by adding two resistors to the rear turns. One on each side. LED's are bright but goofy!

I was thinking the same about adding a resistor. How many ohms (what kind) and which color did you splice into on the tailight? I assume its the one that controls the flasher portion of the bulb?

I believe I used a 40watt 6K resister and placed it across the black and green leads.
