There are two small openings just above the license plate where the pigtail for the trailer can come through. It is easy to find the correct wires that go to the rear stop and directional lights. Just remove the outer taillight lense assemblies for access to those wires. I also pull a small trailer to the track.

I agree with Jim47. It is really easy to use the slots over the license plate as the exit area for the wiring harness and plug. When unhooked the harness will slip in the void area and not be visible. I just twist the connector sideways in the opening and it locks in place for the next use. No fishing around to try to find the harness. Be sure to check the diagram in the manual for the correct color coding on the wires to splice into.
