I wil have to replace the HB on my C5Z06.
I read several threads talking about the subject but I didn't find my answer.
Which model(s) do you recommend ? I don't want to install a supercharger or increase the HP, I just want the most reliable and simple HB to install
Thanks for your advices
JM
I am using a Summit Racing brand balancer. I went with the 25% underdrive one, but they have a OE size as well. Its SFI certified and way less expensive than the ATI. Mine sees 7K RPM regularly without issue.
I had mine replaced at my local Chevy Dealer (Hawthorne Chevrolet) - 2-year warranty and was the best price for parts and labor in my area. Therefore, GM Genuine OEM balancer, seal, and bolt.
I did oem size ATI. personally, I don’t like to have the accessories spinning faster than intended. Any hp increase with an underdrive is nominal.
also arp bolt, front seal, front cover seal, maybe even a new water pump depending on its age and mileage.
You have that backwards. The underdrive pully will slow the accessories down. I did this because I track my car and things like the power steering pump and alternator do not like to live at 7000 rpm. The power gain is minimal if any like you said.

The ATI installed is known as the ATI Superdamper Balancer AT
That isn't a specific description though. They offer dampers for numerous applications.
The ATI part number for a Corvette is ATI917278. This is a 10% underdrive and is marginally lighter than stock with an SFI rating. Great for a performance or track build but not truly necessary for a street-only car. I would get the stock-sized Summit option linked above for a good looking, cost effective replacement.
Thanks Gentlemen.
Does the Summit must be mounted with the pin or is it an option?
I saw a video, I don't remember which model of HB it was, and the guy put red RTV to fill the pin hole.
What about the other brands, any idea ? ATI offers too many models
Not really.....It's known as options, for various applications. For a stock replacement application, such as the one that I installed on my car, it's ATI part number 917246.
Thanks Gentlemen.

The Summit one has a square keyway cut into it for a key if you go that route, but I just covered it with RTV before putting the bolt/washer over it. I do not have mine pinned.
On other cars I have used this pin kit to install a pin perpendicular to the crank that fits in the keyway, vs other kits that go into the front end of the crank.
